The short version
- Djournee only keeps health-related information if you say yes, and you can change your mind any time.
- We use it only to help you plan and remember. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never use geofencing.
- You can see it, correct it, export it or delete it from inside the app.
- It's never used to train AI.
- Djournee is for people who live in Canada or the United States.
1. Who we are
Djournee is operated by Prodwhiz Solutions Inc., Ontario, Canada L9J 0K6. Questions: privacy@djournee.com.
Who this policy is for. Djournee is offered only to people who live in Canada or the United States. This policy is written for US state health-data laws (such as Washington's and Nevada's), and we apply the same protections to everyone who uses Djournee, wherever in Canada or the US they live. The main Privacy Policy covers everything else.
2. What we mean by "health data"
Information that is linked to you and relates to your physical or mental health, or your family's, for example:
- appointments with doctors, therapists, dentists or other health professionals, and the notes you prepare for them
- medications and prescriptions, and their refill dates
- your children's health and therapy appointments
- your answer to the optional daily check-in, "Anything weighing on you today?", which could be read as information about how you're feeling
3. Your consent comes first
- Before Djournee keeps any health data, it asks you once, in plain words, during onboarding.
- If you say "Not now", Djournee still helps you in the moment but doesn't save health details or check-in answers, and tells you when it isn't saving something. It can still keep the time of an appointment or a reminder with no health details (for example "Appointment — Thursday 3:30"), so it can protect that time, and it tells you when it does.
- You can change your answer any time in Privacy and data. If you withdraw consent, Djournee stops saving health data right away and offers to delete what it already has.
- We record which version of the question you saw and when you answered.
4. How we collect it
Only from you: what you tell the assistant, what you add in the app, your check-in answers, and details taken from files you upload. Uploaded files are deleted as soon as they're read, and no copy is kept. If you connect Google Calendar, Djournee reads your events' times, titles and locations; an event whose title shows a health appointment is handled as described in section 3.
5. Why we use it
Only to provide what you asked for: planning your days around your appointments and how much your day can hold, reminding you about refills, helping you prepare questions for an appointment, and catching conflicts. Djournee doesn't diagnose anything and isn't a medical service.
6. Who it's shared with
- We never sell your health data and never share it for advertising.
- Service providers that run Djournee for us, under contracts that protect it: Amazon Web Services, for storage in Canada (Montréal) and AI processing through Amazon Bedrock, which may run in Canada or the United States. Anthropic and OpenAI, whose models run on Amazon's service, don't receive your data. No other company receives your health data.
- Never used to train AI: your health data is never used to train, fine-tune or test any AI model, ours or anyone else's.
- When the law requires it (for example a court order), only what's required.
7. No geofencing
Djournee never sets up a virtual boundary around health facilities, or anywhere else, to track you, send you messages, or collect information about you. It doesn't use your location at all.
8. Your rights
From the app, or by writing to privacy@djournee.com, you can:
- see the health data Djournee has, and the services it was shared with
- correct it, or delete it (just one item, all health data, or your whole account)
- withdraw consent at any time
- export it
We answer written requests within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we'll tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to that email; we'll answer the appeal in writing. If you're not satisfied, you can contact your state's Attorney General.
9. How long we keep it
As long as your account exists and your consent stands. If you withdraw consent and choose deletion, or delete your account, it's erased from Djournee, including from backups, within about 30 days.
If you start creating an account and then tell us you don't live in Canada or the United States, you haven't been asked anything about your health yet (that question comes after you register), and everything you did enter is deleted right away.
10. Changes
We'll tell you in the app before any change that affects how your health data is used. If a change needs new consent, we'll ask for it.
